Opened in 1988, The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale Arizona is a Starwood Hotels property, which ensures a level of quality and luxury known worldwide.  The Phoenician is a private retreat set amongst a 250-acre desert oasis of lush green lawns and clear shimmering fountains.  You'll find elegant touches everywhere, from the rooms to the pools, the Spa to the golf course and tennis garden, along with 24-hour Concierge Desk to provide you with the highest level of service.

With a comfortable layout designed to maximise views of the pools, golf course, the downtown Phoenix skyline, and the surrounding mountains, the rooms and suites at The Phoenician are spread out between the main building, the Canyon Building (a resort within the resort, with its own private pool and cabanas), and a number of casitas and villas, but all are spacious, elegant, and most importantly, comfortable.

In addition, The Phoenician Resort boasts a 27-hole Championship golf course and a 22,000 square foot Spa, a tennis garden with 12 courts, 9 swimming pools, 2 jacuzzis, a waterslide, and a kids' program (the Funician Club).   If that's not enough to keep you on the resort grounds, nearby you'll find upscale shopping and nightlife in Scottsdale, along with its historic Old Town Scottsdale with numerous art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants.

The Phoenician's Spa, known as The Centre for Well-Being, is popular with locals as well as vacationers, so we encourage you to book way in advance of your visit, as you would be greatly disappointed to miss out on this one-of-a-kind pampering experience.  As with most resort Spas, The Phoenician's Center for Well-Being features a serenely tranquil environment, highlighted by their Meditation Atrium which creates a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere that compels you to relax as if by magic, along with a vast array of spa treatments and fitness classes.  Use of all the spas facilities and fitness center is complimentary when you book massages, consultations, body and skin care treatments, which allows you to enjoy full and unlimited access to the fitness studio and scheduled classes, private key lockers, spa wardrobe (robe and slippers) and vanity amenities, plus use of whirlpools, steam rooms, saunas, Swiss showers, Meditation Atrium and Waters Bar featuring complimentary refreshments.  For guests who choose not to book treatments or consultations, there is a daily fee of $20 for use of the facilities.

The Phoenician is well known, both around Scottsdale and around the world, for its award-winning cuisine served up in impeccable style at their memorable restaurants.

Mary Elaine's – A Five Diamond award-winning restaurant featuring Modern French cuisine, a $3 million wine cellar, nightly live jazz entertainment, stellar service, and luxurious surroundings with dramatic views of the Valley.  For gentlemen jackets are recommended but not required, ladies may dress in business or evening attire.

The Terrace – A serene setting with a covered patio overlooking the emerald croquet lawn, flowering gardens and shimmering pools beyond, The Terrace offers award-winning Contemporary American Steak and Seafood, plus a lavish Sunday Brunch.   The ideal respite for breakfast, lunch or dinner, parents in particular are sure to love The Terrace's "Kids Eat Free" offer, available for youngsters 12 years of age and under when ordering from the children's dinner menu. Phoenician Lobby Tea Court – In the English tradition, afternoon tea is served daily in the Lobby Tea Court. Classical music provides a charming backdrop for a genteel afternoon break.

The Praying Monk – The Praying Monk is a wine connoisseur's delight complete with its own private sommelier and a 1,800-label wine collection valued at over $3 million. With its globally-inspired private dining menu and Renaissance-era interior, this elegant wine cellar is a dramatic setting for celebrating special occasions, complete with barrel-vaulted ceilings, European antiques and tapestry-upholstered seating for up to 16 guests.

19th Hole Grill and Patio – The 19th Hole Grill and Patio is located south of the main resort building, on the 1st floor of The Phoenician’s Golf Clubhouse. Open-air dining patios allow resort guests and golfers to soak in the sun or cool off in the shade after a round of golf on the Phoenician's championship golf course, including sandwiches and hamburgers hot off the grill.
