| Overview of the Royal Palms Resort & Spa | |
| The Royal Palms Hotel is one of only two Phoenix hotels to have membership in the Historic Hotels of America National Trust for Historic Preservation, and is a AAA 5-Diamond Award Winner for good reason - with its atmosphere akin to a lavish private mansion and its old world elegance, The Royal Palms reminds one of the grand hotels of a bygone era. With only 117 guest accommodations, it also has an intimate feel that isn't found in the resorts and hotels of the Phoenix valley that are of it's caliber - which results in a higher level of personal service and attention that you don't get elsewhere. Royal Palms' Four-Star Alvadora Spa is tranquil, warm and intimate. Nationally acclaimed T. Cook's restaurant boasts select seasonal dishes from the Mediterranean and exotic surrounding regions. The resort also offers swimming, a fitness centre and full-service salon. Unique to the Royal Palms is their on-staff "Romance Planner". Overseeing all things romantic is Royal Palms' Director of Romance, Paul Xanthopoulos. He even claims to be a direct descendant of Eros, as all Greeks are, he states. During his seven-year tenure at the hotel, he has created the stage for more than 150 marriage proposals and tended to special touches for romantic getaways. Whether it's writing "I love you" in rose petals on a turned-down bed, preparing a bubble bath topped with rose petals, or arranging a couples' astrology reading, Xanthopoulos is the romantic magician that keeps couples returning for more "love memories". |

| Facilities & Amenities - Royal Palms Resort & Spa | |
The Alvadora Spa at the Royal Palms is smaller than most of the other resort Spas in the area, however, it is thoroughly enchanting with its Mediterranean ambiance and European design, and serves up a very high level of luxurious pampering in a serene environment. With some uncommon touches, such as a Villa for two that features several water therapies including a Watsu pool for special in-water massages and an 8-foot grotto waterfall shower in a private garden terrace, this Spa leaves you feeling as if it's your own private retreat. Click on this link for a full menu of Royal Palms Spa Treatments, and on this link for a menu of Royal Palms Salon Services. The Spa also houses a 24-hour full-service Fitness Center, which offers a range of body-mind fitness classes throughout the week, as well as personal training and private classes for Yoga, Stretch, Mat Pilates, Tai Chi, and Meditation, if you prefer one-on-one sessions to a class. Although the Royal Palms does not have an on-site golf course, they are centrally located in an area rich in championship courses to choose from, such as Sunridge Canyon, Troon North, Ocotillo, Grayhawk, Eagle Mountain, The Raven, and the courses at the Arizona Biltmore Country Club as well as The Phoenician, to name but a few. In fact there are so many wonderful golf courses in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area that even if you stayed here several weeks and played every day you still would only get to a fraction of them! |
