Facilities & Amenities - Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort

A small and intimately serene retreat, Sanctuary Spa offers a varied menu of Asian-inspired treatments along with standard european-style treatments in fourteen indoor & outdoor treatment rooms.  The Spa at Sanctuary is small in comparison with many of the other Arizona Resort Spas, but even though it's small, the Spa is well laid-out, with an efficient use of space.  It's also elegant and serene, with attention to detail and the small touches that make one feel relaxed, comfortable, and right at home.  Scheduling is done so that you won't encounter a crowd here, which makes the small size seem very unimportant, instead offering a very personalized feel to their services.   Decorated in soft shades of green with bamboo touches and an asian-inspired theme, it has a very peaceful feel about it.

Enhanced by modern architecture and the breathtaking setting, the Spa's relaxing meditation garden, reflecting pond and Watsu pool provide a tranquil experience.  Spa services and classes in the state-of-the-art fitness center and movement studio include Pilates, meditation, Yoga, fitness & nutrition consultations, and more.  In addition, the Sanctuary Spa offers three distinctly unique Satori programs to choose from, each a 3-day/4-night stay that includes daily meals, spa treatments and their choice of a Fitness, Adventure or Spa emphasis – with elements ranging from guided hikes to private Pilates to labyrinth walks, body sculpting, adventure courses and personal training sessions.

The Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa began its life in the 1950s as the Paradise Valley Racquet Club, and drew a wide variety of celebrities, from hollywood film stars to internationally known tennis champions, to its charity tennis matches.  Today it is still known for its tennis courts and high level of instruction.  Offering five deco-turf championship courts and one premier cushioned court, along with daily clinics and private lessons.

After a few tennis matches relax in the Sanctuary Resort's infinity-edge swimming pool - one of the largest in Arizona, or get in a few laps in the separate 25-yard lap pool.

Although the Sanctuary Resort does not have an on-site golf course, it does have privileges at a number of nearby resorts.
